Who will be my photographer?
Stephen Sanderson is the principal photographer for all weddings booked with Stephen Sanderson Photography. We do not outsource if Stephen is booked on your wedding date. Stephen usually books between 10 - 16 months out. So don’t delay and contact us now to inquire about availability.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You can also pay using your PayPal account.
Do you do destination weddings?
Yes. We are based in Denver, Colorado and shoot most of our weddings within the state of Coloardo. But we love to travel and are available for destination weddings worldwide.
We have traveled to Mexico several times and have traveled as far away as South Korea in May of 2008.
Do you do engagement sessions?
Yes. An engagement session provides the Bride, Groom, and Photographer an opportunity for a test drive. Clients who book an engagement session ultimately take better pictures and feel more comfortable on their wedding day.
Our Premier & Grand Wedding Collections include a complimentary environmental engagement session.
When will my images be posted online?
Your images will be posted online within two weeks of your wedding.
All weddings will remain private and no public access will be available through our website. We will provide a link to your online proofs and slideshows via email which you can share with friends and family.
What are your travel fees?
Lodging allowance - $150.00
This fee applies if the photographer is needed past 9:00pm and the event takes place more than 2 hours outside of metro Denver.
Travel fee — $0.95/mile
This fee takes effect after the first 50 miles driven from our Denver-based studio.
What do you require as a deposit?
- We require at least 25% of the total order as a deposit to hold your wedding date.
- Your deposit is 100% refundable for 30 days minus a 50% administration fee.
- You have the option to make up to four scheduled payments.
Photojournalism, Traditional, or Editorial?
We typically shoot using an editorial approach, which is a mix of photojournalistic and traditional/posed shots. We prefer to minimize our impact and presense during your wedding. You won’t know we’re even there. We’ll deliver beautiful, natural looking imagery which truly tells your wedding day story.
Photographing the Bride & Groom
We prefer to have at least 20 minutes to photograph the bride and groom alone. But the more time we can spend together, the better.
Digital images for purchase and copyright?
Low, Medium, and High-resolution DVDs of your digital images are available for purchase and are included in all of our Wedding Collections.
The DVD of images would be under a ‘shared’ copyright which gives you, the Client, and me, the Photographer, ownership of the images. The Client can only use the images for personal, non-commercial use.
Do you shoot film or digital?
We are 100% digital. Currently, we shoot with two Canon 5Ds and an assortment of lenses and flash units.

How long have you been in business?
Stephen Sanderson Photography was founded in January 2005. We have been in the wedding photography business since June 2005. However, we have been students of photography for over a decade.

Our office is located in the Stapleton neighborhood near I-70 and Quebec Street.
